The SAOL Project wish to recruit for the position of BRIO Project
Coordinator.
This is a full-time position of * hours per
week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination of
the BRIO programme within the SAOL Project model. They will ensure
that the programme effectively meets the needs of the women accessing
the BRIO service. This position is based in Dublin City Centre. This
fulltime position is subject to 6 months’ probation and garda
clearance.
THE BRIO PROGRAMME.
BRIO is a community-based organisation which works with women who have
substance use and justice involvement as part of their story. BRIO is
an integrated programme of work engaging with women in prison but
primarily in the community. The programme is managed by SAOL Project
and funded by the Probation service. This programme has a strong Peer
focus and knowledge and experience of working with Women who have the
co-occurring issues of substance use and justice involvement is
essential. The programme is based on radical empathy and compassion
and the role requires someone dynamic, creative, and willing to
respond to a changing environment. The role of BRIO Coordinator is an
exciting and challenging role and requires a person committed to
improving the lives of women who have experienced trauma and
marginalization. The role is imbedded in the SAOL model which is a
service with almost * years’ experience of
responding to the needs of women who use substances.
BRIO Co-ordinator will have overall responsibility for programme
planning and management in line with project budgets and in
conjunction with the BRIO team, SAOL Head of services and SAOL CEO in
partnership with The Probation Service
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY WILL COVER:
* Oversight of referrals and funder and stakeholder engagement.
* Programme development and delivery, including recording of KPI and
other essential reporting requirements.
* Ensuring that staff support systems are in place within the
project.
* Developing and implementing project systems which allow for
transparency for all staff members and good record-keeping in all
aspects of the project’s work.
* Direct work with women through excellent group facilitation and
key working.
* Supervision of programme efficacy and actively seeking to improve
and develop the programme.
* Co-ordination of use of space within the building
* Co-ordination of prison programme and community programme.
* Keeping all BRIO staff members informed of any new developments,
visits, events, etc.
* Administration support and oversee the maintenance of project
systems.
* Ensuring regular implementation of staff meetings, team meetings
and any other feedback mechanisms identified as necessary.
* Production of a monthly coordinator report to the Head of Services
and CEO which will include a review of all areas of job description.
* Key working/care planning and case management.
* Reporting to Probation service and engagement with TUSLA and
stakeholders
* Taking responsibility for development with team for overseeing
planning, staff support and recording same – in short pulling
planning together.
* Crisis intervention
THE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ARE AS
FOLLOWS:
* A minimum of a Level 7 qualification or Third Level qualification
in the field of addiction, rehabilitation, social care and/or
equivalent would be essential.
* A minimum of 5 years in the field.
* Substantial experience of working within a community-based
addiction/homeless/rehabilitation service would be necessary.
* Substantial experience of working with women with co occurring
issues of substance use and criminality would be necessary.
* Excellent group design, delivery, facilitation and recording
outcomes would be necessary.
* Demonstratable experience of working and contributing to a team is
essential.
* Substantial experience of interagency and multi-disciplinary work
* The successful candidate must be able to clearly demonstrate
excellent communication, listening and reporting skills.
* The candidate must have excellent I.T. skills, and ensure that all
records, policies, and procedures are kept in line with GDPR and good
practice guidelines. They will have an excellent knowledge of
boundaries and confidentiality. Experience in Sales force/HRB would be
an advantage.
